The Handwork Studio is a kids’ needle arts, machine sewing and fashion camp. Their passion and purpose are to preserve the tradition of teaching practical arts like knitting, hand and machine sewing, embroidery, weaving, quilting, and fashion to the next generation. They believe the benefits of teaching children handwork go far beyond the fun of a two-hour workshop. Children learn discipline, problem solving, patience, and confidence through The Handwork Studio’s (THS) camps and workshops.
A long-time HubSpot customer, The Handwork Studio was seeking a HubSpot Partner agency to help them redesign their outdated HubSpot CMS-built website, this time instead leveraging HubSpot’s new conversion-focused COS website platform. As with all of our new clients, the first step in this engagement was getting to know THS’ CEO Laura, her team, and most importantly, internalizing the needs of the families they serve. With a clear understanding of The Handwork Studio’s short and long-term goals (both business and website goals), we designed and developed a user-friendly, modern and creative website that showcased the heart and passion of their business, the children.
Using “real” photography, exciting design elements like layers of fabric, and employing an iterative design process, we developed their new website on HubSpot’s staging environment, allowing them to keep their current site live and fully functioning until the moment we launched the brand new site. The result of our collaborative effort is a website that speaks directly to current and prospective THS families as well as the future goals of Laura and her team, while also providing a conversion optimized, marketing-ready online sales asset. Just prior to the website’s launch, we’re proud to say The Handwork Studio asked to continue their partnership with Stratus Interactive and we’re now engaged as the burgeoning company’s marketing agency!
